HIJACKERS: THEY COULD NOT RESIST
BLOG COMMEDY!
The comic on the left shows how the hijackers couldn't resist the passengers and had to crash the plane sooner because they were afraid that the passengers could take control of the plane.

"TOURIST GUY"
The image shown above was find by us when we were researching about the 9/11 causes, theories, and myths. It is terrorific. The image shows the American Airlines plane that was hijacked or kidnapped by the terrorist group Al Qaeda (theory we support). The person is on the top of one of the two imponent Twin Towers on New York´s Downtown World Trade Center.
"Attached is a picture that was taken of a tourist atop of the World Trade Center Tower, the first to be struck by a terrorist attack. The camera was found, but the subject had not yet ben located." (Emery)

COLOMBIA: A MIX-UP OF LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY POLICIES
"COLOMBIA, U.S HELP, AND DSP: THE KEY FOR COLOMBIA´S WAR AGAINST TERRORISM AND PROSPERITY"
The International policy has been reflected in Colombia in a drastic way, having in mind that Colombia is one of the World´s top countries in the drug production, and has more than three big illegal groups (terrorists), including guerrillas, paramilitaries, and Bacrims, which use the drug and other resources (gold, silver, etc.) to sustain (economically) their “cause”. Therefore, the policies established by other countries and global institutions have been hardly applied among Colombia, with quite good results. For example, Colombia has signed threats with the U.S. to eradicate terrorism and drug production, a fact that touches directly the U.S. The policies for security adopted by Colombia have led to a reduction of the insurgent groups, what has permitted Colombia to situate into one of the most powerful countries in South America.
The policies have make much more secure some places. Airports, exclusive places, such as clubs and restaurants, and public spaces, are some examples. Nonetheless, those global policies have been mixed up with local policies, such as the Democratic security policy, established by Álvaro Uribe Velez. “President Alvaro Uribe has made combating the insurgents the overriding priority and defining objective of the Colombian government…Under the DSP, Uribe has sought to regain control of the country by increasing the numbers and capacity of troops and police units and by deploying them across the country to challenge the guerrillas. This has been accompanied by a major increase in the eradication of illicit crops, aimed as much at denying revenues to the guerrillas and paramilitary groups as at reducing coca and opium poppy production” (Colombia: President Uribe´s Democratic Security Policy).
The previous quote illustrates the Democratic Security policy, a strategy that has helped with International policies to eradicate illegal groups in Colombia and into the direct and frontal war Colombia has led against terrorism for years.

TERRORISM CONCEPT CHANGE: 9/11 AND THE WORLD (COLOMBIA)
"TERRORISM MEANING-ACTION CHANGE
9/11 AND ITS CONSEQUENCES ON COLOMBIA"
According to the Unite Nations (UN) in 1988, “terrorism is a method of repeated violent action, employed by individual, group or state actors for idiosyncratic, criminal or political reasons. In terrorism, there is no specific assassination; targets are chosen randomly to create a fear in national security.” (What is terrorism? Defining terrorism Post 9/11) Now, after the 9/11th attack, terrorism is one of the most serious issues for international peace and worldwide security. According to U.N, the terrorist attacks were usually domestic, limited to a small country, however, now a days; after the 9/11th attack terrorism has grown to be present in the international world. After these definitions, we can see that terrorism has expanded all over the world; it has grown up and become more powerful than it was 50 years ago. After the 9/11th attack, a feeling of insecurity enabled all over the World.
The 9/11th attack affected Colombia in various ways. The World Trade Center- and the Twin Towers- kept basic information about the World and its movements. The two towers contained, as well, thousands of records of the economy of many countries, including Colombia. When the two towers were destroyed (9/11), all those economy records disappeared and the economy of the U.S felt down and, as a big consequence, Colombia´s economy had also a low. Also, the United States started to approve laws for their national security maintenance. The laws were strict rules that had to do with airports, ports, and foreign new laws. Moreover, the U.S. applied them much more with countries with negative historical backgrounds. Having in mind that Colombia is a country that has had hard terrorist’s attacks. As well, becoming for the U.S. a national purpose to “defeat worldwide terrorism”, they started to help Colombia (and several Worldwide countries) in their own war against terrorism, guerrillas, and other insurgent groups, with pacts and alliances to eradicate violence and drug production. INTERNATIONAL WORLD POLICIES: HOMONGOUS CHANGE SINCE 9/11 EVENT
"TERRORISM MUST BE OVER"
The world policy
regarding international security changed since 9/11 in a drastic and gigantic
way. It changed in the way that there started to exist more security rules at
public and busy places, easy targets for terrorist’s attacks (airports,
markets, important and big places, etc.). Since the terrible 9/11 events,
national and foreign security has become an essential fact, that concerns the entire
world, and that demanded new world policies regarding International securities,
not only local, but also global laws. For example, extradition became a much
more demanding method used by the U.S. and other countries for defeating
terrorism. As well, optimism decreased all over the World. “The era of optimism about
the world's future ended abruptly with the World Trade Center and Pentagon air
hijack attacks in 2001. September 11, Garrett said, "created, among other
things, enormous political capital for the Bush administration both at home and
abroad. The attack was probably more shocking than Pearl Harbor.” (Evans). That “abruption
of optimism” generated that stronger security policies were approved and that
the entire World- or most of it- declared a direct war to terrorism. Finally,
the economic profit given to security and protection was increased in the U.S.
and other countries.
The new priorities
regarding International Security starts with a basic one: terrorism must be
defeated. The new priorities started with the purpose of not letting another
9/11 event to happen. In the present day, society is focusing a lot on the
security ways and laws to protect from attacks. Another priority started by
giving more of the national budget (presupuesto) to war and national security
in some countries, leaving a bit apart the social and humanistic part of the affected
society. For example, Colombia wastes more than 26 billion pesos on national
defense against terrorism, according to the daily news El Espectador. (Castrillón). The priority of most of
the World bécame one with a simple and elemental theses: win the “war against
terrorism” “battle”.

9/11: JUST THEORIES
The 9/11 events have had millions of possible "theories" or "myths" into who is the real responsible and what really did happen that they. Some people argue that the Al Qaeda has nothing to do with events; while others support that they were the real responsibles of what happened. Nonetheless, some others say that some missils exploted on the World Trade Center, or that the planes were driven by monitors. Following, this is the list of the most "common" theories among the 9/11 success, an event that change into two parts the world: one before and one after.
Theories:
2) No plane hit the Pentagon on September 11. Instead, it was a missile fired by elements “from inside the American state apparatus.”
3) World Trade Center building 7 was destroyed by a controlled demolition.
4) The planes that hit the World Trade Center towers were remotely controlled.
5) Al Qaida is not responsible for the September 11 attacks." (The Top September 11 Conspirancy Theories)
In fact, we can conclude that the real truth of what happened during the sunny morning of September 11-2001, has lots of possible theories and responsibles, which anyone has been proved a lot. Nonetheless, we believe (as a personal group opinion), that the insurgent group Al Qaeda was the real responsible of the 9/11 events and, moreover, knowing that his head admitted his responsability. War against terrorism began after the gigantic and tragic 9/11
event.

9/11: CHRONOLOGY OF AN EVENT THAT CHANGED THE WORLD.
September 9/2001. The sun was fantastic in New York.
Probably, most- if not all- New Yorkers and the entire world believed that it
was just one day more in their lifes. Nonetheless, it was a day that
changed humanity, changed the vision towards a certaing geographic place in the
World, and that, in fact, changed the World.
It was 8 am in the morning, and two American Airlines
planes departed from Boston to Los Angeles. Fourty-five minutes and one hour
later, both planes respectively, crashed into the two homonguous and imponent

downtown. Everything collapsed. The president (George W. Bush) was notified

in the U.S.
President George Bush, hours after 9/11 events, said "The attacks were evil, despicable acts of terror". And he declared America "to stand together to win the war against terrorism" (9/11: Timeline of Events).
